Bengaluru: The third instalment of ‘Music for Meals’ – The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s charity initiative to support the mid-day meal programme – was held at Bengaluru on 14 and 15 June 2025. Co-sponsored DivyaSree Developers, this instalment was headlined by renowned Carnatic progressive rock band Agam. One show each was held at the MLR Convention Centre in Whitefield and Prestige Centre for Performing Arts in Konanakunte.
The event was a harmonious blend of culture and compassion, with proceeds from every ticket supporting Akshaya Patra’s mid-day meal initiative for children in government and government-aided schools across India. “This is a city that listens not just with its ears, but with its heart,” said Shridhar Venkat, CEO of Akshaya Patra. “We are deeply thankful to Bengaluru for transforming melodies into meals.”
A highlight of the concert was the debut of Agam’s latest album, ‘Arrival of the Ethereal,’ making the event a celebration of both musical innovation and social impact.
Established in 2000, Akshaya Patra has served over 4 billion meals, making it the world’s largest non-profit-run school feeding programme. ‘Music for Meals’ not only amplified the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to nourishing young minds through food and education.
