On 16 June 2025, Bihar’s Education Minister Shri Sunil Kumar laid the foundation stone for the state’s first centralised Akshaya Patra Foundation kitchen in Patna, set to serve mid-day meals under the PM POSHAN scheme. The kitchen aims to provide nutritious meals to government schoolchildren, improving their health, attendance, and academic performance. This marks the first collaboration between Bihar and the Foundation.
