Kitchens are the heart of Akshaya Patra. The scale and operational efficiency of these kitchens help us maximise the impact of the PM POSHAN Abhiyaan (Mid-Day Meal Programme). Our network of kitchens, which spans 78 locations, enables us to serve nutritious mid-day meals to over 2.35 million children every school day, thus supporting their nutrition and education.

i) The ASK is for 232 meals per child for an academic year. The equivalent number of meals can also be served for a shorter period for higher number of children

(ii) The amount can also be utilized to meet cost escalations if required. Alternatively, it can be used for improving the school infrastructure to create a better learning environment and to serve meals.”
